American HVAC Parts Model Numbers

What is a Mfg. Model Number?
A Manufacturer Model number is information that identifies which unit you have. It helps us provide you with the correct part for your specific unit. To match this information to your unit, refer to your unit's nameplate or label. This information may include numbers, letters, dashes or a combination of these three.

What is a Mfg. Part Number?
A Manufacturer Part Number is information that identifies the specific OEM repair part you have. It may be printed on the actual part, or be available in the Owner's Manual for the unit you have.

Where do I Look?
On your Heating and or Air Conditioning equipment there will be the manufactures information tag. It is very important to send the COMPLETE Model and Serial Number the way it is on the manufactures tag. Without this information it is very difficult to find the correct information even if you have the part number. The manufacture changes part numbers from time to time but the Model and Serial number of your equipment doesn't change.

Please always send the COMPLETE Model Number from the equipment
that the part came out of and any part numbers that you may have.

Building Permits & Inspections:
Always check with your city's Department of Building and Safety for specific permit and installation requirements before beginning an installation. Most municipalities require a building permit whether you are replacing the components of an existing HVAC system or installing a new system from scratch. Separate or additional permits might also be required for any new gas lines or electrical circuits. In general, homeowners are entitled to file building permits themselves as long as the work will be limited to the homeowner's own property. Pulling a building permit means an inspector will sign off on your work, which protects you and your property. We also recommend that you have your local gas company inspect and start up any new or replacement furnace installations. Most utilities will do this for you free of charge.

Safety First:
Before you begin any repairs or installation on your heating and or air conditioning systems, consult all manufactures safety warnings and procedures. If you are not comfortable or have no experience working with Electricity, or with Natural Gas, L.P. Gas we would highly recommend calling your local independent contractor for service.
